Andrew Ullyott’s superb layouts of Ashcombe Road, Weston-Super-Mare and Clevedon have been widely exhibited.

Though Ashcombe Road is now retired from exhibition, the rolling stock lives on in Andrew’s new layout of Clevedon (see below).

Ashcombe Road featured in the Summer 2014 issue (199) of Model Rail magazine and in Feb 2007 Railway Modeller magazine. In the annual competition for the RM Cup voted by readers, Andrew was runner up for 2007. The layout also featured in Model Railway Journal No 162 in November 2005. See also Magazine articles page.

It is in 4 mm/ft scale EM gauge, and is virtually dead scale in length from Ashcombe Road to Milton Avenue. Clevedon and Manor Terraces have been realigned slightly to compress depth. It depicts the period 1935-6. Andrew has modelled the following stock: 2-4-0T No 1 Clevedon, 0-6-0T Terriers No 2 Portishead and No 4, 0-6-0T No 3 Weston, 2-4-0T No 4 Hesperus, both railcars and trailer, several coaches and wagons.

Andrew’s layout of Clevedon station was exhibited for the first time at the Weston-super-Mare Model Railway Show on 12 Jan 2014, and a number of times since. Both of Andrew’s WC&PR layouts featured in a unique WC&P Anniversary Exhibition in Portishead on Sunday 22 Oct 2017.

Clevedon will next be exhibited at Preston on 2/3 March 2019, Alexandra Palace on 23/24 March 2020 and Warley NEC in November 2020.

Clevedon had a 6 page article in the May 2017 issue of Railway Modeller and also featured in Model Railway Journal issue 229 in 2014 and Railway Modeller March 2015.
