Clevedon All Saints N gauge diorama
Clevedon resident Andrew Hobson has built an excellent N gauge diorama of Clevedon All Saints. He actually lives at this location, so was able to get many details correct. It’s literally a shelf layout, being built to fit onto a shelf in his study. The model is based on a section of the 1938 OS map, blown up to scale and used as a template. The model is very accurate and is mostly scratch-built. The detail was based on as many historic photos as he could find, plus personal observation. The rolling stock comprises just the large Drewry railcar which can of course run in either direction. Its motion is controlled by LEDs buried between the sleepers, stopping at the halt in both directions.
